This unique self catering accommodation is located in the panoramic village of Spiddal, only 12 miles from Galway City in County Galway. The house is situated in a tranquil piece of countryside on Spiddals doorstep, with a wonderful sandy beach just a stones throw away. We provide a breakfast welcome basket on arrival, including goods for a continental breakfast such as orange juice, corn flakes, butter, cheese, ham and a bottle of wine, all included in the rate.

From Galway City take the coast road to Spideal Village. Continue through the village and take the first turn right. Cottage is located 300 yards on the right hand side of the road.

Description

The traditional thatched cottage comprises of three generous bedrooms. The home is off the beaten track in a setting of outstanding natural beauty and serenity. Transport yourself back to a bygone era where sleeping under a thatched roof was a regular occurrence. Although the property has a very authentic design, the interior of the home has all the modern comforts you would require for a great holiday.
Enjoy the sights and smells of an original turf fire blazing away as you curl up on the couch while the stars twinkle brightly in the clear night sky. The house is situated in a tranquil piece of countryside on Spiddals doorstep, with a wonderful sandy beach just a stones throw away. While you are there, a short trip trekking around the wonderful landscape of the Connemara National Park will leave you feeling exhilarated. Take the ferry across to the Aran Islands where you have a wide variety of prehistoric monuments to see as you roam around this beautiful and unspoilt countryside. Set off another day to Galway City and if you’re lucky enough you might even experience some of the great festivals the city is renowned for. Whatever you decide to do Galway has plenty of options to keep you in tiptop form!
