August is action packed at the GAA Museum in Croke Park with 'Family Fundays', exclusive 'Pre-Match Stadium Tours' and live 'Hurley Making Demonstrations'.
Family Fundays will take place every Thursday and Friday throughout the month of August. On the Family Fundays, the museum will be running a special offer, whereby 'Kids go free' to visit the GAA Museum and Croke Park Stadium Tour*.
Kids can explore the museum's new 'My GAA Hero' exhibition, test their skills in the recently upgraded games area as well as visit the newly opened Cú Chulainn's Den to discover what life was like for Setanta and how his mighty hurling skills led him to be named Cú Chulainn.
This summer, the GAA Museum has introduced exclusive Pre-Match Stadium Tours of Croke Park. The tours offer fans travelling to support their county the chance to be in the dressing room and players' tunnel before the teams arrive on match day. Fans can also take in the players lounge, experience the stadium from pitch side, take a seat in the VIP section and get a bird's eye view from the press media centre.
Croke Park is the only stadium world wide to offer match day tours.
Match Madness will hit the GAA Museum on the All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Final Days, as craftsman John Torpey joins GAA Museum staff to give live demonstrations on the art of hurley making.
