Although the room had a lovely view over the canal and distant hills, we had a miserable second and third night because of total lack of hot water. We had to boil kettles in order to have the minimum of washing and shaving facilities. A succession of receptionists assured us that we just had 'to let the water run' but after 25 minutes of such abominable waste the water remained only barely tepid. The wardrobe door was broken and would not shut and the window catch was broken. The breakfast was excellent as were the restaurant staff but I could not honestly recommend this hotel and am writing to the manager to request some sort of refund
I really enjoyed the stay and it was very comfortable and very reasonable. Will be back.
Brilliant, will definitely stay again, staff were helpful, for a 3 star hotel it was lovely and the breakfast was gorgeous, ive stayed in what was supposed to be 4 star in Dublin 3 weeks ago and it didn't come close!
Basic but very adequate and very good value for money. Great location next to Luas and very nice breakfast the next day
Some of the comments on Trip advisor.com are ver negative. We had a verý positive experience. I will write to them when I get home.
Very cozy and extremely user-friendly.
It was very nice and friendly, but was very noisy (as we had expected) as our room was on the corner overlooking a busy road and the canal bridge. However, we reckoned we were actually staying in the room occupied by the insurgents in 1916 commanding Portobello bridge, so that was a big thrill!
