Dublin City University offers a unique place for guests to stay. With onsite facilities including gym, swimming pool and sauna, a choice of restaurants and cafes, there is something to suit everyone.

Our apartments are located on the Dublin City University campus. Dublin City University is located in the north side of the city. It is also 5km from the city centre making us ideally situated for shopping, touring and enjoying the city delights. We are also close to Croke Park so it is an ideal base for the GAA matches. We are minutes from the M50 and M1.

Directions

For guests or delegates staying in Campus Residences the most convenient way to DCU from the Airport is by Taxi payable by the guest, a journey of about 15 minutes. Please ask the driver to take the Ballymun entrance into the campus. For anyone who wants to use public transport from the airport to DCU the following buses are available: 747, 16A, 41, 41A, 41B, 41C and guests should have the exact fare ready.

From Outside Dublin by Car
From south east (N11) use the Eastlink, East Wall Road, Clonliffe Road, Drumcondra Road. Turn left at the Whitehall/Collins Road junction and DCU is 500 metres on the left.
From other directions around the country, use the M50 (including Westlink if applicable). Come off the M50 at the Ballymun exit (Junction 4) and drive through Ballymun, turning left at the Collins Avenue/Ballymun Road crossroads (approx 500 metres). DCU and the multi-story carpark is 200 metres on the right on Collins Avenue.
From Dublin City Centre by Car:
Follow the airport road which takes you through Drumcondra and turn left at the Whitehall/Collins Avenue junction. DCU is 500 metres on the left.
It is also possible to drive through Phibsborough towards Glasnevin, turning into the Ballymun Road. DCU is on the right hand side of the dual carriageway, but you will need to drive further on to the Collins Avenue/Ballymun Road junction and turn right in order to avail of the multistory carpark (DCU is 500 metres on the right).

Local Area

Within walking distance: One can visit the Botanic gardens, Glasnevin Cemetery and the Croke Park Musuem.

Within a 30 minute drive: You can enjoy all the attractions which the city centre has to offer including restaurants, pubs, museums and galleries. 
The pretty coastal towns of Malahide, Howth and Skerries are also within driving distance and are perfect for day trips.
 

Description

In the immediate vicinity, guests can visit the Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin as well as Glasnevin Cemetery.  We are also a 15 minute bus journey from the city centre where guests can visit all the local attractions including the Guinness Storehouse, Christchurch Cathedral and Trinity College Dublin.

For guests who would like a little bit extra on their holidays, these spacious double or twin rooms are ideal.  The bedrooms all have an ensuite with shower.  The bedrooms are equipped with a television, telephone and hairdryer. 

These are 4/5 bedroom apartments and there is a comfortable shared living area with couches and dining table and kitchen.  There are tea/coffee making facilities in the kitchen so guests can really relax and enjoy their stay.  We have 150 superior apartments on campus. The apartments are not self catering, but guests can use the fridge, oven and microwave.

We have a number of restaurants (open during the day) and cafes on campus which are available for the guests. A full Irish breakfast is also available for our guests in the 1838 or main restaurant and guests can choose from our hot and cold buffet counter.  Zest is open until 8 every evening offering a variety of smoothies, pizzas, bagels, sandwiches and Starbucks coffee.

As a guest on campus, the University Sports Club have a number of options available, from one day passes to one month memberships, allowing guests to the enjoy the state of the art facilities for the duration of their stay.  Facilities include a 25m swimming pool, spa pool, tepidarium, steam room, sauna, fitness centre, steam room, squash courts, indoor sports hall, aerobics studio and spinning studio.
