The stone tower dominates the North Down landscape. The history of the tower which was built as a memorial to the 3rd Marquis of Londonderry is explained pictorially in its interior alongside displays showing the mulitfarious wildlife on Strandgord Lough. The fine beech woodlands of Kilynether wood contrast with the hazel wood on the other side of the hill but both reveal a wide range of birdlife and colourful wild flowers.
