Description
Description
Visiting Grey Abbey is an excursion into a world of tranquility. Surrounded by an 18th-century parkland at one end of Greyabbey village, the 12th-century church and cloister of the Cistercian monastery looks impressive. The monks were self-sufficient, farming their estate and the medicines from their garden would have been used for animals as well as people.
