Directions

Travelling from Donegal, take the N15 towards Ballybofey.  Once you reach Barnesmore take a turn to the right. Continue on this road for about 800m – then take a right turn.  Drumcorroy House is just 200m on the left hand side.

The B&B is approximately 9 miles from Ballybofey and just 4 miles from Donegal town.

Description

A special treat awaits you at the farmhouse – Patsy is a sheepdog handler and will delight you with a demonstration of his abilities.  As well as this, he is also a traditional fiddle player and if his busy schedule permits you might have a chance to enjoy a music session in the living room.  Martina is also a woman of many talents, not only does she run a successful business but also looks after her children and grandchildren as well as helping on the farm.  This accommodation certainly gives you an inside view of life with a busy and friendly Irish family.

Room Features

The bedrooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated to a high standard.  Each of the guestrooms has breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
The en-suite rooms are equipped with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.  It is obvious that the comfort and convenience of the guests is always in the minds of the B&B owners.

Local Information

On your way back to the B&B, call into the famous Biddy O’Barnes pub where you are sure to find friendly locals, great craic and wall-to-wall musicians.  If you get a little hungry on your travels Harvey’s Point Restaurants and Country Hotel on Lough Eske just 2 miles away will successfully take away those hunger pains.
If you decide to come here in September, the Donegal County Sheep Dog trails take place in Barnesmore on the first Sunday in September each year.  It’s a great day out for all the family.  Travel to Donegal Craft Village and see or even purchase some of the best Irish crafts including jewellery, paintings and ironmongery.

Things to Do

Discover the treasures that Donegal have to offer.  All you need to do is hop into your car and drive around the many roads exploring the area and find scenery you would not see anywhere else in Europe.  A 45 minutes journey will take you to Glenveagh National Park where, if you’re lucky, you night come across the red deer herd that have made this haven their home.
A round of golf at Murvagh Golf Club should be top of any golfers list of things to accomplish while in Donegal.  The rivers and lakes are brimming with salmon, sea and brown trout – a paradise for anglers.  There is an array of beautiful blue flag sandy beaches scattered along the coastline for the sun worshippers.  Whatever your passion, Donegal has everything to make your stay an enjoyable and memorable one.

from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome . As we were hungry after a long journey Martina rang and booked us a table at a local restaraunt, nothing was too much trouble. We loved watching Patsy with his sheepdogs infact it was liam's favourite bit of the holiday
