Lis Ardagh Lodge is a fantastic base from which to explore the breathtaking sights and scenery of West Cork. This stone built family home is within walking distance of the seaside village of Union Hall.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised by what’s on offer here. As well as three well decorated and comfortably furnished en suite bedrooms there’s an outside decking area with a sauna and gym – so you really are guaranteed a relaxing stay here. All guest bedrooms are of a good size and come equipped with tea making facilities, a hairdryer and TV.
This is a lovely part of Ireland and well worth exploring. Here you’re surrounded by stunning scenery and the extensive coastline means that watersports and angling are very popular in the surrounding area.

If travelling from Cork take the N71 to Leap, do not take the road for Union Hall that is in the actual village of Leap continue on the N71 for about half a mile you will then see an exit on your left for Union Hall fishing village, turn left here continue along this road for about a mile and a half you will see Lis Ardagh Lodge on your left.


If you are travelling from Skibbereen take the N71 out of Skibbereen heading towards Cork when you have travelled 5 miles you will see the turn for Union Hall on your right, take this turn and continue for about one and a half miles, Lis Ardagh Lodge is on your right.

The market town of Skibbereen is just 8km that host a wonderful farmers market on a saturday, what a treat with the smells of fresh baking, coffee and much much more.

This really is an ideal place to visit all of West Cork from Kinsale to the Mizen.

Within Walking Distance

The beautiful fishing village of Union Hall is just a 5 minute walk, where you will find a working fishing harbour. There is a supermarket with everything that you could think of and what they do not have they will always try and get for you, also a post office and fresh fish shop. Four public houses two of which do wonderful food. All around they are secluded bays and wonderful walks.

Glandore is just 2km which offers a sailing school, hotel and additional places to eat.

The property has three spacious en-suite bedrooms which come with TV, CD player, hair dryer and tea making facilities. The location is ideal for exploring the sights and sounds of West Cork, one of Ireland’s most distinctive regions. The stunning scenery that surrounds the home is sure to take your breath away.

You can enjoy a days fishing or whale and dolphin watching all of which can be arranged by your hosts, or maybe just a long walk maps and information are all available.

There are three larger than average bedrooms all of which are decorated and furnished to a very high standard and are en-suite.

The elm room has a double bed and single bed in the room. Two easy chairs to sit and read of watch TV. There is an IPOD docking unit in the room together with tea and coffee making facilities.

The Ash room, has a double and single bed in the room with easy chairs, then there is a dressing room with another single bed, reading books and tea and coffee.

The oak room has a double, single bed and easy chairs, then a dressing room and then an additional room with twin beds, ideal for a family. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the dressing room which also has a varied selection of books.

Lis Ardagh Lodge offers a beautiful guest lounge with TV, board games are avialble on request. The property is surrounded by large mature landscaped gardens, with seats and secret places to sit, pathways to follow and wonderful views.

A large decking at the front of the house with loungers and table and chairs for those who just want to sit and relax.

A good selction of local information is available in book and leaflet form, Jim and Carol will always advise of places to see.

Many good restaurants and pubs are in easy reach, with menus available at Lis Ardagh Lodge.
