The location of the house is perfect for visiting Glengarriff and west Cork, Kerry area. There is ample parking and the house for our group was fine. The toaster didn't work but we used the oven grill and the upstairs bathroom light went while we were there. The house could be finished off better, the kitchen come siting room was missing a set of curtains, a tea pot and not enough crockery but we managed. The beds were comfortable, it would have been nice to have extra pillows and blankets - there are storage heaters but we didn't want to run up a big bill so we used them one night only. I spoke with the homeowner on the phone and he was very pleasant to deal with - I would return as it was good value and the location is very good. Met the caretaker who was very nice and when I asked for a slightly later check out than 10am he said it was no problem and to take our time. There was plenty of hot water too and the showers were good. The house was very clean.

The cottages are in a fine location, but seem uncared for, unfinished, with wires hanging in loops from walls. Cooking equipment seemed grubby and cutlery and crockery were inadequate and often damaged. Water from the upstairs shower leaks down the living room wall. The charge of 5 Euro per day for electricity is frankly extortionate.
