The Gresham Metropole was very central. Room were very small but clean and comfortable Leisure centre is old Bar and lobby area was very cold heating didn't appear to be working well. Staff were very helpful
I really loved the room we stayed in. it had a beautiful bay window with seating around it & it had a lovely big jet bath.
Room 408 backed out onto street was noisy, worse though some kind of noise from heating or water pipes a loud humming woke me up twice on friday night at 3 and 4 am i didnt inform staff.
the staff could not have been nicer they could not do enough for us
Friendly helpful staff with ever present smiles.
Had a fantastic time, loved the pool and my partner really enjoyed the gym. Would go there again if anyone wants to send me,(weekend was a present from my partners mum). The room was lovely, food was great, hotel very central.
The hotel was lovely but our room was facing Mc Curtin street and the windows were not sound proofed. We heard way too much noise from the street below especially when the local bars and clubs spilled out on to the street. I would stay again but would definately request a rear facing room. We had a your baby with us so it was hard to get her back to sleep.
Staff were very helpful. Particularly in the Restaurant (Lorraine Murphy). The bedrooms were very warm though and were quite noisy if you opened the windows. Although the view over the river was very nice.
Staff were very co-operative on arrival, due to a mistake in booking a double room rather than a twin. Sorted straight away at no extra cost to the customer.
the staff really made us feel welcome
Excellent value for money, the staff were all friendly and helpful, hotel was clean. The central location of the hotel is ideal; if i had to find a fault it would be not all the rooms were ready for check in however, the hotel was fully booked the previous day.
We had a very enjoyable stay at The Gresham. My wife and I were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and found the hotel, staff and facilities to be of an excellent standard. We used the pool, sauna and jacuzzi and found this to be very relaxing, we only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it even more. The breakfast in the morning was of an excellent standard - with a choice of cereal, fruit, croissants, scones and full Irish. Also fruit juice and Tea or Coffee with toast if you wished. It was enough to fill you until evening with maybe just a piece of fruit or small sandwhich late afternoon. The only problem we encountered was the lift was out of service for the duration of our stay, and staying on the fourth floor made climbing the stairs every day a bit of a chore but did not make our stay any less enjoyable. As we went to Dublin for the weekend as part of our honeymoon, we intend visiting Ireland on a regular basis for our Anniversaries, and would definitely visit Cork again and stay at the Gresham Hotel.
great - very friendly helpful and efficient
hotel was lovely and most of staff were helpful
The hotel was very good and I would stay there again - they did seem to be quite understaffed at reception which involved quite a bit of hanging around when checking in or out and looking for information - otherwise very good.
Nice hotel, staff very friendly
The restaurant and bar staff were really freindly and helpful - but the reception staff could do with being a bit happier. The rooms are quite warm,so could do with air conditioning.
have great feeling about our stay in gresham hotel, had fab time
Very, Very Friendly Staff. Excellent facilities with having the Link to the Leisure Centre plus breakfast was magnificent and it being served until midday is a real bonus!
OVERALL OUR STAY WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. WE DID EXPRESS CONCERN THAT THE ROOM SIZE WAS MORE SUITED TO BEING A SINGLE RATHER THAN A DOUBLE.
The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The free parking was a bonus as it's so convenient to patrick St.
Not a good area of the city for the hotel price.
Swiming pool was fantastic and the breakfast was served till 12 which was great
The staff were very friendly. The room was small and very warm.
Nice hotel, nice facilities, but annoyed with the impression given by staff that I had got the deal "too cheaply", I stayed a further night, but they would not give me the same rate, and would not include breakfast.
Excellent. The staff was kind enough and worked properly. But I suggest that some of staff should be near the main entrance because the parking space in front of the hotel is too limited.
Liked the friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Perhaps the elevator service could be improved - slow and cramped although it was reliable.
Very nice place and handy as is close to city centre.Food very good also.
The Gresham Hotel is fantastically situated, in the middle of Cork, and just along from some wonderful theatres. The secure parking is a real plus point too. Once inside the hotel is very comfortable with a relaxed old world feel. Our room was spacious with an elegant bathroom. The hotel also has a great two level bar (excellent Irish coffee served!) and the restaurant, with great views of the river Lee, accommodated us after time.
Had a fab time there.
Lovely hotel with a great location. Perfect for anyone who wants to stay in the centre of Cork city.
I was very pleased with the overall experience and value of the Gresham Metropole Hotel.
