Welcome to the Gresham Metropole Hotel which is one of Cork’s oldest and best known hotels. The Gresham Metropole has been recently refurbished to a very high standard but the traditional warm welcome, effortless hospitality and friendly service are still very much the foundation of this popular city hotel.

Situated in the heart of Cork city, the hotel is walking distance from the bus and train station and the main shopping area of Patrick's Street.

There is complimentary Wi-Fi internet access throughout the hotel.

Gresham Metropole Hotel
From all directions, follow signs for Cork City Centre. The Gresham Metropole is located on MacCurtain Street, a block off St. Patricks Quay on the River Lee. MacCurtain Street is a one-way street. From St. Patrick's Quay travelling west along the river, turn right at St. Patrick's Hill and then take the first turn right again onto MacCurtain Street.
The hotel is on your right. The Gresham Metropole is also well serviced by public transport. Both the main train and bus stations are within 0.5km of the hotel while Cork Airport is only 5km approx. from the city centre.

The Gresham Metropole Hotel is a 3* hotel that has been recently refurbished to the highest standard, while still retaining its traditional warm feel that has always been the foundation of this well known establishment. We are located in Cork city centre within walking distance to all transport options, local attractions and amenities, as well as the main shopping areas. Offering a range of guest rooms, from standard ensuite rooms to executive rooms, all our rooms are spacious and designed with our guests comfort and enjoyment in mind. In room facilities include complimentary WIFI and tea/coffee making facilities. The Leeside Leisure Center is attached to the hotel and they provide complimentary access for all our hotel guests. The Leeside Leisure Center offers a 20m swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym, solarium, treatment rooms and aerobics studio. Children under 16 years have complimentary access from 9am to 6pm daily. We also have the Met Bar where guests can enjoy a relaxing drink or a tasty meal from our extensive menu.

Location is very good - directly across road from main shopping area. Did not eat there so cannot rate. Fabulous restaurants across road at Isaacc Hotel. We were lucky to get a table in Green's and would have booked in advance if we had known how good it is! Leisure centre in Gresham is fine and very good room rate. We were apprehensive after reading somes comments about old fashioned, noisy etc. but our room was modern with large walk in shower and very quiet at night and it was a Saturday night! We were not facing the street so this probably helped. All in all, great location.

Private parking is available at a location nearby and costs EUR 7.50 per day.

The hotel has a large lobby with plenty of cosy seating ideal for afternoon tea or an informal meeting.  There is a dedicated conference & banqueting team and a Business Centre
