Blarney Castle Hotel was originally established in 1837 as a village inn by the Forrest family. Today this charming 3 star hotel is still run by the same family, offering its guests a traditional Irish welcome.

Located just 5 miles west of Cork City and only a stones throw from Blarney Castle this hotel is a perfect location for exploring both Blarney Castle and also the rest of what County Cork has to offer.

Each bedroom has it’s own unique character, all are spacious and tastefully decorated, with all modern facilities. Guests can dine in the hotel restaurant The Lemon Tree and relax in the evening with a drink in the hotel bar ‘Johnny’s’, which is renowned for it’s pints of Guinness and locally brewed stouts Beamish and Murphys. Traditional Irish Music is on offer every Tuesday and also music on Thursdays and Saturdays.

From N25, take the N8 towards Cork City

Blarney Castle Hotel is located near to the world famous Blarney Castle. This 12th Century castle is famous for being home to the Stone of Eloquence which is said to give those who kiss it the 'gift of the gab'. In addition to the stone and the partially rebuilt castle there are also extensive gardens that are well worth exploring.
Blarney is also home to the well renowned Blarney Woollen Mills which is always worth a visit and is an especially great place to purchase all your souvenirs and gifts for the family back home.
If you want to head out of the town you can head into Cork City, which is full of excellent restaurants, pubs and nightclubs, but at the end of the day you can retire back to the quite country town and be sure of a perfect night's rest. While in Blarney the whole of the west of Cork will be within easy reach and is well worth exploring.

All bedrooms in the Blarney Castle Hotel have their own individual character. Each guest bedroom have recently been re-decorated.   All guest bedrooms have wifi accessability, tea/coffee making facilites, iron with ironing board, safe, hairdryer, complimentary mineral waters.

Room was little tired but clean and there was a lot of little touches including internet connection. Best bit of the whole stay was the breakfast! Freshly made to order, it was the best cooked breakfast I have had in a long time. No soggy food sitting around in big heaters at this hotel!!

Blarney Castle Hotel
The signature of the Blarney Castle Hotel is its main public bar known locally as " Johnny's", which kept unspoilt, is an institution in the village. It is renowned for its excellent pint of Guinness and local brews.  Some of the original features are still in the hotel such as the bar tiles, fire place and also the bells. 
Our main dining room is the Lemon Tree Restaurant which specialises in local produce and is complimented by an excellent wine list.  Guests can enjoy breakfast daily from 7.30am till 11am.  Lunch specials are on offer daily and also bar lunches and evening specials also.  We pride ourselves in offering good service to all of our guests.
