This is an ideal location for all year round Angling holidays, Adventure sports and active family holidays. The surrounding area offers easy access to Angling (Lake, River and Sea), horse riding, heritage trail walks, golf, and the bustle of small town Ireland with shopping and restaurants in Kanturk and Mallow town. During July and up to the second week of August summer camps for kids between 9 and 16 are held daily and weekly at an extra charge to be paid locally.

Directions

From Mallow...
- Take the N72 (Killarney direction) for 5km (3 miles),
- Turn right at the sign for Longueville House and Ballyclough
The village of Cecilstown is 7 km (4.3 miles) from this turning
- Go through the village and the fishery is 1km (0.6 miles) on the left hand side.
Location
The immediate village of Cecilstown offers a typical Irish Village experience with a selection of local bars and activities such as traditional music, ceili dancing at the cross roads, road bowling, hunting and shooting and a private stretch of the River Blackwater for game fishing.
The main tourist attractions of Cork & Kerry are all within driving distance too (half hour) with an abundance of Blue Flag beaches, Island day trips and gourmet restaurants.
Both Cork and Killarney are within a half hour drive, leading onto the wonderful scenic day drives of both counties.

 During July and up to the second  week of August summer camps for kids between 9 and 16 are held daily and weekly at an extra charge to be paid locally. Activities include kayaking, raft building, archery, rock climbing, angling and much more.  Residents can avail of special prices on summer camps.

Sports field for visiting Sprting Teams and clubs. special GAA Rubgy and Soccer Team building sessions.

Hens and Stags welcome for days of great activies and accommodation in our self catering houses or with special packages with local hotels.

Ballyhass Lakes Holiday Village
This property contains, 1 Double Room en-suite, 1 Twin (2 x Single Beds) and 1 Single Room and sleeps 5 people.
The 3 bed houses ooze distinction & character.  They are larger than most holiday homes and have been created in a location that is peaceful and serene, a safe environment allowing for long summer evenings on the deck having a BBQ or in the green areas and away from the distractions of daily life.
Each house has its own patio/BBQ area – perfect for a summer evening of alfresco dining and cooking. The kitchen leads onto an open plan dining area over looking the lakes.
The living room is spacious with an open fire and wooden floor detail. Each room is furnished to a high luxury standard with lots of touches that will make you feel at home.
The design of the houses has ensured natural light throughout the house giving that true outdoors living feel. In addition to the ensuite master bedroom there is a large family bathroom and a downstairs WC.

To visit North Cork is to follow the path of the majestic River Blackwater, one of the longest rivers in Ireland flowing through quaint villages and charming countryside. This is one of the most interesting spots in Ireland, with many centuries-old castles, round towers and other historic structures.
Cork City, Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, West Cork and its many islands are all within a half hour access and perfect for a day drive.

Fishing

What's the Fishing like?
The main lake is Fly Only and can fished from the banks but is best fished by boat. The water is 8 - 11m deep in most places with very clear visibility.
Experienced anglers will be challenged to seek the larger fish from these depths while the lake is also ideal for those new to the art of fly fishing.
Fly rods can by hired and our resident ghillie is available to tutor and assist visitors to the lakes.
Boats suitable for up to two or three anglers can be reserved and hired with life jackets.
The upper lake can be fished from the bank with worm,spinners and bubble and fly.
