Directions from Limerick
In Limerick follow the signs for Shannon airport or Ennis. Take the N18 from Limerick to Ennis. Take the N85 from Ennis to Ennistymon via Inagh. At Ennistymon either:
A: Turn left and stay on the N85 traveling via Lahinch and the Cliffs of Moher
or
B: Take the shorter route via Lisdoonvarna.
A: Turn left and stay on the N85 traveling to Lahinch. At Lahinch turn right onto the R478 and stay on this road passing through Liscannor and passing by the Cliffs of Moher. After about 2-3 miles you will come to a Gas Station. Turn left down the hill towards the sea. This will bring you into Doolin village.
B: Drive straight through Ennistymon towards Lisdoonvarna on the N67. At the 2nd crossroads after the village of Kilshaney, turn left onto the R478. This road will bring you to Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher. After about 2-3 miles you will come to a cross roads and a Gas Station. Turn right down the hill towards the sea. This will bring you into Doolin village.

Doolin is a charming fishing village and is renowned for it’s traditional music.
This little seaside village is also a haven for fishing, caving, rock climbing and hill walking. You can hire a bike in the village or you can also enjoy a trip to the Aran Islands from the ferry at Doolin harbour which operates during the Summer months.
Doolin makes a great base for exploring this beautiful part of Ireland as it's just 8km from the world famous Cliffs of Moher, 6km from the town of Lisdoovarna and 50km from Shannon International Airport.
Within 10kms
Lahinch which is a very popular seaside town very close to Doolin. Lahinch has a wonderful 18-hole links golf course as well as a magnificent beach which is very popular for a whole host of watersports.
If you head inland you can find the unique landscape of The Burren. Be sure to visit the Burren Museum first so you'll know what you are looking at when you do get out onto the rocks. Don’t forget the Poulnabrone Dolmen, and perhaps a trip to Lisdoonvarna which has an annual matchmaking festival. To the north you can find Galway and Connemara which has plenty to see and do of its own accord.
