Corinna, Steve, and their family instantly made you a part of theirs. It was more like staying at a friends house than at a Hotel. The food is top drawer, plenty of it for a good price, bar/lounge with the fire roaring to take the chill off was nice, and the locals at the place engaged you in conversation. Regular events such as the Sunday night step dancing were interesting to witness. I stayed with my daughter on her first time in Ireland and we used it as a base for visiting distant relatives and sightseeing. Nearby Ennis is not too far, but the very country locale of Magowna House brings you back into the old Ireland much better than staying near one of the thousands of "round a bouts" that plague the countryside.
