Clare is surrounded by Galway Bay to the north, the Atlantic Ocean on the west and the River Shannon, Ireland's longest river to the east, flowing from Lough Derg all the way down to the ocean at the tip of Clare's Loop Head.

Of course County Clare has the perfect backdrop for all types of outdoor activities as it has lots of woods, rivers, lakes and miles of coastline dotted with blue flag beaches. So if you want to enjoy fishing, golf, water sports, horseriding or dramatic cliff walks you've come to the right place!
