Folklore says Cavan is well known as the lake county and is said to have 365 lakes, one for every day of the year…well it’s not strictly however true but its close enough!

Limestone Lodge is located just 600m from Killykeen Forest Park which is owned and maintained by Coillte, this park covers some 600 acres of mixed woodlands with magnificent forest walks, bicycle tracks, a great fishing spot, and even swimming. Surrounded by the waters of Lough Oughter on the river Erne system.
There are numerous outdoor activities – from Canoeing, mountain biking, Horse riding, Golf, walking, to extreme activity games parks. Cavan town itself is a hive of activity with restaurants, bars, nite clubs – All major supermarkets and shops with two large shopping outlet parks. There is bowling, cinema, leisure centres and indoor children’s play centres. Belturbet, Balyconnell, Butlersbridge are but a few of the small towns around Cavan well worth a visit.
