At one time Ireland was rich in ancestral resources, but in 1922 a fire in the Four Courts Dublin, destroyed much of the documentation for people world-wide to legitimately claim Irish Ancestry. Over the next few years Armagh Ancestry will try to provide a pathway across the Four Courts fire. The centre will establish a comprehensive genealogical database containing those sources now considered to be the most useful in establishing a family tree. Visitors to Armagh not only have the opportunity to have their family tree traced but they can avail of the chance to have a genealogical tour planned around their family history.
