On 17th January 1997, Belfast's magnificent Stg 32 million Waterfront Hall opened for business. It was five years in the design, planning and building, but the city can now take real pride in this splendid, glass fronted, circular pleasure dome, which, at night appears to float on the River Lagan on whose bank it stands.
