The Ulster Way makes a complete circuit around Northern Ireland, passing through all six counties and occasionally crossing the border. Most of this enormous route is waymarked with marker posts and signposts, leading walkers over the Antrim Mountains and through the Glens of Antrim. The spectacular Antrim coast features Fair Head and the popular Giant's Causeway. After crossing the forested hills and moorlands of the Sperrin Mountains, walkers travel through the fascinating Fermanagh Lakelands. A series of low, forested hills give way to walks tracing the rivers Blackwater and Bann through quiet, pastoral country. The tow-path of the old Newry Canal leads towards the Mountains of Mourne, then walkers sample stretches of coastline around St Patrick's country and Strangford Lough on the way back to Belfast.
