Just a mile from the picturesque village of Broughshane, winners of 'Europe in Bloom', and 2-1/2 miles east of Ballymena on A42 is the Ballymena Golf Club. It is a flat heathland course, with heathers and gorse and lined with trees. On the eastern side is the famous St. Patrick's Slemish mountain....

Bar, meals Monday to Saturday, lunch on Sunday, snooker and a practice fairway. Best days for visitors are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday morning and Tuesday and Friday afternoon.

The Course is parkland. It has large trees and some very deep bunkers. It has a stream winding its way through which comes into play on several holes. It is a stern test for even the lowest of handicaps....

Located half a mile from Carrickfergus via Albert Road. The first hole requires a difficult shot over a large dam, but this degree of difficulty is not maintained in the remaining holes of this very pleasant parkland course.

Set in attractive parkland, the centrepiece is a beautiful lake some 25 acres in extent. This is stocked with trout and other sporting fish and comes very much into play on the back nine, which are reckoned to be more difficult that the front nine. Some of the holes have been compared with Augusta, where the greens are placed near the water's edge. Trees are also a feature and the setting is of great beauty.

Established 1985 Club name recently changed from Knockbracken Golf Club to Mount Ober Golf & Country Club. Eighteen-hole undulating parkland course, the centrepiece of a multi-sports complex.

Bar, meals, short practice game area, golf academy, floodlit driving ranges, putting greens, artificial ski slope and snooker. Best days for visitors are any day or after 14.30 on Saturdays. A great test for all handicaps....

The club is close to Belfast International Airport with the course running along the shores of Lough Neagh, the biggest inland stretch of water in the British Isles. The existing course was laid out by Fred Hawtree in 1961, and the opening holes wind away from the clubhouse until the par 5 7th which goes downhill to the shoreline of the lake in the direction of Shane's Castle.

The Warren area is six holes of true links, and the inward seven are in adjacent upland with panoramic views inlcuding the Mull of Kintyre, Rathlin Island and Ballycastle Bay.
