Cushendun Harbour
This village lies at the foot of Glendun, where the Glendun river meets the sea. It faces the North Channel and is only 28kms from Scotland. This village is now under the care of the National Trust. This beachside hamlet is well-known for its row of beautiful cornish-style cottages which were designed by Clough William-Ellis. A hidden secret is the Cave House; it is only visible from the sea and is reached through a natural cave. Previously it was the home of John Masefield's wife, a Huguenot descendant. It is now a holiday home for nuns.
