1. Town Hall: Formally the County of Antrim Courthouse: Built 1779. Originally site of Franciscan Friary 1232. 2. Town Wall & Jacobean Knot Garden: Earliest Urban town walls in Ireland. Built from 1608 by Sir Arthur Chichester. Knotgarden reconstruction of Chichester's Garden-Walkway through to Shaftesbury Park. 3. Joymount Church: built in 1855 4. North Gate: One of the 4 Town Gates in the 1608 Wall. 5. 65 North Street: Walk through archway to view inside of wall. 6. 1st Presbyterian Church - North Street: Founded in 1621. Dobbins Inn: Elizabeth Tower House, original fireplaces and Original features. 12. Wilson Endowed Building: c 1820 former National School, Orange Hall, Cinema and Rates Office. 13. Tower House Moral: Gable end depicts the Elizabethan Tower House of Merchant Thomas Stephenson. 14. Railway Station: Mock Tudor Style buildings designed by Berkeley Dean Wise in 1895. 15. Masonic Hall - 1898. 16. Congregational Church - 1879. 17. Methodist Church - 1838: Original Wesleyan Chapel 1811. 18. Irish Gate: Western entrance through the Town Wall was excavated. Adjacent to the gate a complete Medieval Pottery Kiln was excavated. 19. Alderman Gills Almshouses - 1842. 20. Cranaghbawn: Site of Earl of Essex's wooden fortified bastion c1570 and Governors House. 21. Carrickfergus Gasworks Museum - 1855: The company was started to bring street lighting to the town. Complete Victorian coal gasworks. 22. Carrickfergus Castle: Finest Norman Castle in Ulster. Work began by John De Courcy c 1180 and completed by his successor Hugh De lacy c 1220. 23. Fishermans Quay - built in 1830's for the fisherman from the Scotch Quarter. 24. Andrew Jackson Centre/ U.S. Ranger Exhibition - Boneybefore: 1750's thatch cottage houses exhibition on the life and times of Andrew Jackson 7th President of USA and Rural Ulster. In the garden the new US Ranger exhibition tells the story of the formation of the US Rangers in Carrickfergus during World War II. 25. North Road Cemetery: Victorian graveyard extension to St. Nicholas Church, Chapel of Ease and interesting headstones. 26. US Ranger Memorial Stone: Located at the entrance to former Sunnylands Camp. Dedicated to the men of the US Rangers who served during World War II. 27. King William II Statue: Located on the Castle Green. King William landed in Carrickfergus on 14 June 1690.
