This fishery is comprised of the two loughs, Inagh and Derryclare, plus the inflowing river and streams of Lough Inagh, and the river that joins the two loughs and the outflowing river from Derryclare Lough as far as the Canal Bridge. There is a run of spring salmon into this fishery early in the season and a good run of grilse from early in the summer onwards. It is primarily a sea trout fishery with very good runs of sea trout during the month of June and onwards to the end of the season. There are eight boats for hire on Lough Inagh. The Fishery also accommodates two rods at Corloo (the river flowing out from Lough Inagh), one rod at the Trout Pool (the inflowing river). Two or three rods can be accommodated at the Derryclare Butts depending on water conditions; this also applies to Glendollagh Butts. The lower end of Derryclare Lough is known as the Pine Island Beat and can accommodate two to three rods. There is one boat on this beat. At Greenpoint, which is the river flowing out from Derryclare Lough at the Canal Bridge on the Recess/Clifden road there is accommodation for two rods. Night fishing is available on this fishery on request. On all of the waters of this Fishery only fly fishing is permitted. The Bealnacarra River, Glendollagh Lough, and portion of the Recess River from McCreedy's Pool to Glendollagh Lough and the right bank of the Recess river as far as the junction of this river with the Owentooey river. The fishing is not for letting.
