COARSE ANGLING

Coarse angling in the Southern Region is limited to some sections of the two of the major rivers, the canals within the region, and a few small lakes.

RIVER BLACKWATER.

The river holds reasonably good stocks of roach and dace. Coarse angling centres are at:

Cappoquin Co. Waterford

Fermoy Co. Cork

Mallow Co. Cork

Banteer area Co. Cork

Tench and bream angling is available at Knockanannig Reservoir, near Fermoy. Tench and rudd at Dromona lake near Cappoquin.

RIVER BARROW

The Barrow is a mixed fishery. Coarse angling centres are:

Graiguenamanagh, Bream, Rudd, Dace, Pike.

Goresbridge, Bream, Tench

Leighlinnbridge, Bream, Rudd, Pike

Carlow, Bream, Rudd, Hybrids
