Lillies Bordello
Located at Adam Court, Grafton Street, in the heart of Dublin City is Lillies Bordello. Widely known as one of the most upmarket nightclubs in the capital, it has hosted several main events including the Top Gear after show party.
The venue caters for most types of music, and the latest addition to the venue is the "Lounge Lovers" night, which has, live music in the "Round Bar" and then great DJs spinning the decks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Thursday nights give R&B; fans a treat, with plenty other classics played by the house DJ. Friday and Saturday nights offer club classic nights, and generally the rate of entry for non members is 5 - 15 per person.
Tripod
The Tripod is located at the top of Harcourt Street in Dublins city centre. There are three venues to be enjoyed here, one of which is the Pod the Pod has been at the heart of the Dublin clubbing scene for around 13 years.
The Crawdaddy is a newer venue, which is built for live music and has a capacity for 300 - a small and intimate custom built live venue spread across two floors with cinema-style seating on a balcony.
Which brings us to the Tripod, one of the newest live music arenas in Dublin. It brings together three venue spaces in one area, with a 1300 capacity live music arena, a bar that can accommodate 250 and a 250 capacity club with a magnificent new sound system. There's also seating in the balconies as well as private booths.
Boomerangs
Located in the Temple Bar area of Dublin since its inception in 1996, Boomerangs is a popular spot and features all different types of music for the serious clubber. It has three bars and a large dance floor. Here you can enjoy the current chart hits along with classic tunes from the past!
Club M
With its Temple Bar location, Club M is the perfect place to dance the night away. It has two dance floors with balcony galleries, which tower over the main area. Enjoy a sparkling cocktail in this club, which has been entertaining clubbers for over 10 years!
Spirit Nightclub
Located in the fashionable Abbey Street area in the City Centre, Spirit Nightclub is another popular nighttime spot. It has catered to the trends of society in that it has a holistic therapy centre which runs during the day from 11am to 8pm, and offers stress management and Reiki! The club itself has 2 floors with usually club house music at the top level and R&B; on the ground floor.
Vaults
Since its reopening in 2002, this club has provided a thrilling night out to clubbers. The club is located at the IFSC, in Dublin City. It comprises ten vaults that are linked together under Connolly Station, just off Amiens Street. This happening venue has a restaurant, four bars, a nightclub, and conference facilities. The V1 nightclub features the best in house and dance music on Friday nights while Saturday night features the cream of RnB, hip hop, and soul music.
The Playhouse
The Playhouse is located on Belgard Road in Tallaght, on the southside of Dublin. The venue has three bars, and caters for all different types of musical tastes, from Rap to the latest dance hits.
The Button Factory
Located in the heart of Dublins Temple Bar, the Button Factory opened in 2007 and was previously known as the Temple Bar Music Centre. Not only has it a nightclub with a great sound system and great lighting which operates from Thursdays to Sundays, the venue also hosts live music acts and welcomes international DJs.
D Two Nightclub
For a great night out, head to the D Two Nightclub! Located on Harcourt Street, with a late bar and nightclub open from Wednesday to Saturday, it's the perfect place to spend a night out! With top Irish DJs playing the latest tunes plus oldie classics, you wont want to leave the dance floor!
RiRa Nightclub
Open from Monday to Saturday, RiRa Nightclub is located on Dame Street. This club has been running since 1993 and attracts crowds that are into all types of musical genres. The club features in the main local DJs playing indie, soul and funk tunes.
Always remember to be dressed in neat attire when going to nightclubs in Dublin, and enjoy your night out! Average price of admission is 5 to 15 but may be dearer at peak times such as Christmas/New Year or if there's a major DJ flipping the discs! Generally clubs open from 10pm until 3am, and stop serving alcohol at 2.30am.
