Trim Tourist Trail

This is a signposted walking tour through the most interesting parts of the town of Trim. The trail is basically an historic one, mainly highlighting Trim in Norman times. Royal Canal - Scenic Walks
Enfield, Meath
This is known as the Royal Canal's long level. This is a  77km stretch of canal, without the hindrance of lock gates. A boat trip along this stretch which passes through some of the most serene and pleasant countryside is highly recommended. One can stop at any point to do a spot of coarse fishing or walking. for which the canal and this stretch in particular is famous.

The Boyne Towpath
Navan, Meath
This walk takes the visitor a distance of 8km from Navan to Slane along the banks of the River Boyne parallel with the old canal. Beautiful wooded scenery and wildlife can be seen on this path. The Navan entrance to this path is through a small gateway on the left hand side of the Boyne Road which leads from the market square just on the other side of the river....
